Philippines' Unemployment Rate Drops to 3.8% in February

The Philippines' unemployment rate eased to 3.8% in February from 4.3% in the preceding month, according to preliminary data from the Philippine Statistics Authority released Tuesday.
The latest figure was, however, above last year's 3.5% rate.
The number of unemployed persons in February was nearly 1.94 million, higher than 1.80 million a year earlier, the PSA said.
Meanwhile, the country's employment rate was 96.2% in February, up from 95.7% in January, the data showed.
