Jordan Q4 GDP Growth Strongest in Over a Year

Jordan's economy expanded by 2.7% year-on-year in the fourth quarter of 2024 from a 2.6% growth in the previous quarter.
This marked the strongest expansion since Q3 2023, as production increased at a faster pace for agriculture (8.4% vs 6.0% in Q3), manufacturing (4.9% vs 4.3%), wholesale & retail trade, restaurants & hotels (3.1% vs 1.9%) and transport, storage & communications (3.7% vs 3.4%).
However, output growth slowed for electricity and water sector (4.2% vs 4.4%) and community, social, and personal services (1.8% vs 2.0%), while it remained steady for finance, insurance, real estate, and business services sector at 1.9%.
Additionally, the production continued to contract for construction sector, falling by 0.9%, compared to a 0.3% decline in the previous quarter.
