History

• January 20, 1879 (Meiji 12) - The 59th National Bank opened in what is now Hirosaki City.
• September 1897 (Meiji 30) - Privatized and restructured, and the 59th Bank Co., Ltd. was established.
• October 1, 1943 (Showa 18) - The 59th, Hachido, Tsuki, Itanagi, Aomori and other five banks merged, and the Aomori Bank Co., Ltd. was established in Aomori City.
• October 1973 (Showa 48) - It was officially listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, Section 2, and was the first listed cabinet company in Aomori Prefecture.
• March 1975 (Showa 50) - Successfully upgraded to the Tokyo Stock Exchange, Section 1.
• July 23, 1985 (Showa 60) - In cooperation with DC Card Company, a subsidiary あおぎんカードサービス Co., Ltd. was established to operate credit card business.
• 1999 (Heisei 11) - Hokkaido Bank abandoned its business in Aomori Prefecture, and Hokkaido Bank Hachido Branch was abolished. Except for some business transferred to Sendai Branch, most of the business was transferred to Aomori Bank Hachido Branch.
