Bank Respublika is a private commercial bank established on May 22, 1992 under a license issued by the National Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan. As of June 1, 2011, the bank's total capital exceeded 53.70 million Azerbaijani manats () (US $31.60 million) and total assets reached 294.20 million rupees (US $173 million)
Shareholders
One of the most important achievements of Bank Respublika is the equity investment in the bank by two large German Financial Institution Groups: DEG, a member of the KfW Group, and Sparkassen International Development Trust (SIDT), a member of the Financial Group Sparkassen-Finanzgruppe. The relevant agreement was signed at the headquarters of Bank Respublika on April 28, 2005.
Under the agreement, DEG, the investment company of KfW Bank Group (a member of KfW Bank Group), and SIDT, a member Sparkassen-Finanzgruppe financial group, acquired a basket of "25% + 1 share" shares in Bank Republic
