Taipei Fubon Commercial Bank, Referred To As Taipei Fubon Bank Or TFB, Is One Of The Large Commercial Banks In Taiwan. It Is Affiliated With Fubon Financial Holdings And Was Formed On January 1, 2005 By The Merger Of Taipei Bank And Fubon Commercial Bank.

- 1967: Taipei City Was Upgraded To A Municipality Directly Under The Central Government. In Order To Support Municipal Construction And Agency Treasury Business, The Taipei Municipal Government Began To Establish The Municipal Financial Institution Group.
- April 21, 1969: Taipei City Bank Was Officially Established (referred To As City Bank; Financial Code: 012) With A Capital Of Approximately NT $120 Million. The Business Scope At That Time Was Limited To The Taipei Municipal District And Did Not Have Legal Personality.
- July 4, 1983: Taipei City Bank Head Office Moved Into The Taipei Bank Building, No. 50, Section 2, Zhongshan North Road, Zhongshan District, Taipei City.
- July 1, 1984: Taipei City Bank Was Restructured Into A Joint Stock Company Under The Banking Act, With The Full Name Of City Bank Of Taipei, And The Capital Was Increased To NT $3 Billion.
- January 1, 1993: Taipei City Bank Was Renamed Taipei Bank, And Its Full Name Was Taipei Bank Co., Ltd. (abbreviated As Beiyin, English Name: TaipeiBank).
- 1994: Taipei Bank Established A Kaohsiung Branch In Kaohsiung City, Which Was The First Time Taipei Bank Established A Branch Across Regions.
- January 20, 1995: Taipei Bank Was Approved By The Ministry Of Finance To Be Restructured From A Regional Bank To A National Bank.
- July 23, 1997: Taipei Bank Completed A Cash Capital Increase And Listed On A Public Stock Offering, Code 5836.
- November 30, 1999: The Taipei City Government's Stake In Taipei Bank Falls Below 50%. Taipei Bank Is Nominally Private, But The Taipei City Government Still Holds A Majority Stake.
- 2002: The Taipei City Government Auctions Its Holdings Of More Than 972.36 Million Shares Of Taipei Bank (approximately 45% Equity Ratio), Which Are Bid By Fubon Financial Holdings. On December 23 Of The Same Year, Fubon Financial Holdings And The Taipei City Government Completed The Share Conversion Operation. Fubon Financial Holdings Held 100% Of The Equity Of Taipei Bank, Making It A Subsidiary Of Fubon Financial Holdings And Terminating The Public Offering Of The Shares. The Taipei City Government Converted To Holding More Than 1.59 Billion Shares Of Fubon Financial Holdings, Accounting For About 15% Of Its Equity. The Taipei City Government Also Agreed With Fubon Financial Holdings That Taipei Bank Could Not Change Its Name Within Five Years Of The Merger Without Consent. The Contract Was Strongly Questioned By Public Opinion, And The DPP Repeatedly Reported It In 2004, 2008, And 2011. Prosecutors Did Not Explain It According To The Provisions Of The Controversial Contract To Find Out That There Was No Illegal Settlement.

- April 20, 1992: Fubon Group Established Fubon Commercial Bank, Full Name Fubon Commercial Bank Co., Ltd. (referred To As Fubon Bank, Financial Code: 813).
- 2000: American Financial Giant Citigroup Announced A Strategic Alliance With Fubon Group To Acquire Part Of The Equity Of Fubon Bank (later Changed To Fubon Financial Holdings) Until The End Of 2004.
Taipei Fubon Commercial Bank
- January 1, 2005: Taipei Bank Co., Ltd. Merged With Fubon Commercial Bank Co., Ltd., In Order To Eliminate The Pension Settlement Of Taipei Bank Employees, Fubon Group Has Set Taipei Bank As The Surviving Bank And Continued To Use Taipei Bank's Financial Institution Group Code 012; While Fubon Bank Is To Eliminate The Bank, Its Financial Institution Group Code 813 Has Been Discontinued. With The Approval Of The Taipei Municipal Government, Taipei Bank Was Renamed Taipei Fubon Commercial Bank (Taipei Fubon Bank, Referred To As Fubon Bank, Financial Code: 012).
- 2010: Officially Included The Purchase Of Two Branches Of Chinfon Bank In Hanoi And Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam In 2009.
- March 2016: Singapore Branch Officially Opened.
- January 2019: Announced Its Participation In The Preparation Of Pure Online Bank LINE Bank, With A 25.1% Stake To Become The Second Largest Shareholder And The Largest Shareholder In The Financial Industry.

- On November 11, 2022, Jih Sun Financial Holdings Officially Merged Into Fubon Financial Holdings. On The Same Month, The Board Of Directors Of Fubon Financial Holdings Approved Jih Sun Bank To Merge Into Taipei Fubon Bank, Which Was Approved By The FSC On January 18, 2023.
- On April 1, 2023, Jih Sun Bank Was Officially Merged Into Taipei Fubon Bank, With 179 Domestic Business Locations And 34 Overseas Business Locations.
