Entie Commercial Bank, Referred To As Entie Bank, Is One Of The Commercial Banks In Taiwan, With The Code Name Of Financial Institution Group 816. Its Main Shareholders Include The Longreach Group, ORIX Group, And Swiss Re. At Present, There Are 50 Business Locations In Taiwan, Including 30 Branches In The Greater Taipei Area, Eight Branches In The Taozhu Area, Five Branches In The Greater Taichung Area, Three Branches In The Kanan Area, And Four Branches In The Greater Kaohsiung Area.

Development History

After Entie Bank Opened Up The Private Establishment Of Commercial Banks For The Ministry Of Finance Of The Republic Of China In 1990, The Second Batch Of Banks That Applied For Establishment In 1991 And The Only Bank That Applied For Establishment That Year. The Main Promoter, Hong Tai Construction, Was The Core Enterprise Of Hong Tai Group. The Original Promoter Had Participated In The Application For The Establishment Of Wuzhou Commercial Bank In The First Batch Of New Bank Applications In 1990, But The Ministry Of Finance Reviewed And Found That The Promoter Structure, Funding Sources And Business Plan Were All Missing, And Did Not Approve The Establishment Of Wuzhou Commercial Bank. The Sponsor Group Of Wuzhou Commercial Bank Re-applied In 1991. Entie Bank Started Business On April 15, 1993. It Was The 16th Newly Established Bank In Taiwan, And The Corporate Identification Mark Was The Red Model Of The Hong Tai Group Logo. On December 27, 1995, Entie Bank Was Listed On The Taiwan OTC Exchange.

In 1998, Entie Bank Accepted The Taipei Seventh Credit Cooperative For NT $2.10 Billion And Completed The Merger On July 27. On September 27, 1999, Entie Bank Was Listed On The Taiwan Stock Exchange With Stock Code 2849.

In 2013, The Zhongxiao Branch Of Entie Bank Adopted The New Corporate Identification Mark.

In November 2007, Facing The Possibility Of Being Taken Over By The Financial Supervisory Commission Due To Losses, Entie Bank Introduced Private Offering Fund The Longreach Group. The Longreach Group Acquired 50.1% Equity Of Entie Bank For NT $23 Billion And Obtained More Than Half Of The Board Seats. Entie Bank Became The First Domestic Bank To Be Operated By A Foreign Private Offering Fund. Since Then, Entie Bank Was Listed As A Fully Delivered Share By The Taiwan Stock Exchange In May 2008 Due To Its Net Value Of Less Than NT $5 Per Share. After The Active Rectification Of The Longreach Group, Entie Bank Made A Profit Of NT $2 Billion In 2010, A New High Since Its Establishment, And Issued Dividends To Shareholders For The First Time.

On May 28, 2012, Entie Bank Headquarters Moved To The 40th Floor Of The Taipei 101 Building. The Space Design Adopts The Red And White Series Of The New Corporate Logo. However, The Old Corporate Logo Can Still Be Seen In Some Branches.

On October 14, 2021, Entie Bank And China Bills Finance Corporation Jointly Announced That Entie Bank Will Become A Subsidiary Of China Bills Finance Corporation Through The Conversion Of Cash And Special Shares. On January 27, 2022, The Financial Supervisory Commission Rejected The Case On The Grounds Of Insufficient Support From The Company's Shareholders And Directors, Citing Four Major Concerns About Financial Soundness, Funding Sources, Merger And Acquisition Synergies, And Employee Placement Plans.
